Pakistan Strongly Condemns Israel’s “Greater Israel” Remarks, Calls for Global Action

On 15 August 2025, Pakistan’s government issued a strong and unequivocal condemnation of recent remarks made by Israeli leadership suggesting the pursuit of a “Greater Israel” agenda. In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad rejected these comments as provocative, illegal under international law, and a direct threat to regional stability. The statement emphasized that any attempt to alter the internationally recognized boundaries of Palestine is a blatant violation of United Nations resolutions and the fundamental principles of self-determination.

The government stressed that Pakistan has always stood firmly with the people of Palestine in their legitimate struggle for freedom and statehood, reiterating its support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. Officials described the “Greater Israel” concept as a dangerous expansionist ideology that fuels violence, destabilizes the Middle East, and undermines decades of diplomatic efforts for peace.

Foreign Ministerial officials urged the United Nations Security Council and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take immediate notice of these statements and hold Israel accountable for its continued defiance of international law. Pakistan also called on the international community to impose diplomatic and economic measures to deter any such expansionist actions.

In its message, Islamabad reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains a central pillar of its foreign policy. It warned that inflammatory rhetoric from Israel could lead to further escalation in the region, pushing peace prospects even further away.
