Ukraine’s largest telecommunications operator, Kyivstar, has announced a significant expansion of its backup power capacity to maintain network stability as ongoing Russian airstrikes continue to strain the country’s power infrastructure.

According to company officials, more than 3,500 stationary generators have been deployed across the network to ensure continuous connectivity during power outages. Key network hubs have been upgraded to operate for up to three days without central electricity, reinforcing the company’s resilience amid repeated Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy facilities.

In addition, Kyivstar has equipped over 90,000 residential and commercial connection units with power systems capable of maintaining service for 10 to 12 hours during blackouts.
