India’s Hybrid War and Pakistan’s Resolve — COAS General Asim Munir’s Clear Message
On July 30, 2025, during the 16th National Workshop held in Rawalpindi, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir delivered a strong and focused speech addressing India’s covert and hybrid warfare strategies. He stated that, failing to defeat Pakistan through conventional means, India has shifted towards using terrorism, propaganda, and proxy networks to destabilize the country.
General Munir particularly highlighted India’s involvement in sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan, alleging that banned organizations such as the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are being funded by Indian intelligence. He described these groups as “modern-day Khawarij,” who aim to spread fear and chaos within Pakistan under foreign influence.
He emphasized that this hybrid war cannot be countered by military power alone. Instead, it requires national unity, socio-economic development, and public awareness. “Terrorism has no religion, sect, or nationality,” he said — a powerful message calling for collective resistance against external propaganda and internal division.
The Army Chief also warned that the battlefield has expanded. Pakistan is not only facing conventional threats but also an information war fought through social media, fake narratives, and psychological operations. In such circumstances, he called on every citizen to play their part. While the Pakistan Army continues to fulfill its constitutional role, true peace and stability can only be achieved through a united and informed nation.
His address was not only a firm warning to India but also a wake-up call for the Pakistani people: the war today is not just fought with bullets but with ideas, media, and public perception. Therefore, every individual’s awareness and resilience are now part of the national defense.
With unity and resolve, Pakistan will not only face these challenges but emerge stronger — as a peaceful, sovereign, and stable nation.
