CD PROJEKT Q3 2025: Net Profit Soars 148% on Strong Cyberpunk 2077 Sales
Poland-based video game developer CD PROJEKT announced on 26 November 2025 its third-quarter financial results for 2025, reporting a remarkable 148% increase in net profit compared to Q3 2024. The company posted a net profit of 193.5 million PLN (approx. 53 million USD), up from 78 million PLN, while revenue rose 53% YoY to 349.1 million PLN.
During this period, CD PROJEKT invested 118 million PLN in future game development and expansion projects, signaling strong confidence in its growth trajectory.
The profitability boost was primarily driven by the continued success of back-catalog titles, particularly Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty. Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold over 35 million units worldwide, solidifying its position as a leading franchise. Its performance was further supported by inclusion in PlayStation Plus and releases on additional platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac, attracting a wider player base and generating significant digital revenue.
Despite no major new game releases during Q3, CD PROJEKT’s cash flow remained strong, with approximately 1.408 billion PLN in liquid assets, bank deposits, and marketable securities. This financial strength enables the company to continue paying dividends, executing share buyback programs, and investing in upcoming titles without compromising operations.
Looking ahead, CD PROJEKT is actively developing its next major titles, including The Witcher 4 (expected after 2026) and the Cyberpunk sequel, codenamed “Project Orion”, currently in pre-production. While these releases are in the pipeline, the company expects its existing successful franchises, along with strategic platform launches and subscription offerings, to maintain strong revenue and profitability.
This quarter demonstrates that a game developer can sustain and even grow profits without launching new AAA titles by leveraging popular back-catalog games, expanding platform availability, and maximizing recurring revenue from subscriptions and digital sales. CD PROJEKT’s disciplined cash flow management and strategic investment in future projects position it well for long-term growth and continued market relevance.
