Airbus Helicopters Records Historic Orders and Deliveries in 2025 Amid Global Demand
Airbus Helicopters delivered its strongest performance in history in 2025, posting record-high orders and deliveries. During the year, the company received a total of 544 orders, including 536 net orders, and delivered 392 helicopters to customers worldwide. Compared to the previous year, this represents an approximate 20% increase in orders and 8.5% increase in deliveries, underscoring the company's growing global popularity and market confidence.
Over the past five years, Airbus Helicopters has shown steady growth. In 2021, the company received around 380 orders and delivered 330 helicopters. In 2022, orders increased to 395 with 340 deliveries. The year 2023 saw 410 orders and 346 deliveries, while in 2024, Airbus recorded 455 orders and 361 deliveries. The year 2025 surpassed all previous records, with 544 orders and 392 deliveries, cementing the company’s strong position in the global market.
The surge in orders is primarily driven by rising global defense budgets and growing demand for helicopters in civil and emergency services. In Europe, Spain signed a major deal for nearly 100 military helicopters, while Germany procured H145M models for military training and operational use. France placed orders for civil and emergency service operations, and the United Kingdom acquired helicopters for search and rescue as well as police missions. In the Asia-Pacific region, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia placed orders for civil aviation and rescue operations, while Australia invested in helicopters for emergency and defense purposes. In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar acquired advanced helicopters for border surveillance, oil and gas operations, and VIP transport.
Airbus Helicopters maintains a balanced portfolio across civil, parapublic (emergency), and military markets. Approximately 51% of orders came from civil and parapublic sectors, while 28% were military orders. The company has also enhanced its technology offerings, introducing Uncrewed Aerial Systems (drones), HTeaming, and advanced digital systems, boosting customer interest and stabilizing market share.
According to CEO Bruno Even, the growing global focus on defense and security favors the company, as advanced helicopters are increasingly essential in today’s complex security environment. The orders from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East confirm the continued global trust in Airbus Helicopters.
If current trends continue, Airbus Helicopters is expected to see further growth in orders and deliveries in the coming years, particularly in military and specialized missions. New models, including H140, H145, and H175, along with the rising adoption of Uncrewed Systems and advanced technologies, are set to strengthen the company’s market share and ensure sustained growth.
Overall, with 544 orders and 392 deliveries in 2025, Airbus Helicopters has reaffirmed its leadership in the global helicopter market. The company’s robust presence in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East demonstrates its products’ reliability and global popularity, positioning it for continued growth in both defense and civil aviation sectors.
